If your team is still thinking about what challenge you want to solve this year, don’t worry – you still have plenty of time! And to help you out, check out the Challenges page of our website, which has summaries and key points of interest about each challenge, as well as a short video to provide an overview. You can also check out the DI First Look document which has even more information to help you select which challenge to solve this year! But don’t worry…which ever challenge you pick to solve, make it your own and have fun with it!

The Pennsylvania Creative Problem Solvers (PA-CPS)/Pennsylvania Destination Imagination (PADI) are excited that the new season has now officially begun!

With the official start of the new season on August 1st, teams are already purchasing membership numbers for this new season – and we hope to see YOUR team on that list soon. In addition to our growing list of teams this year, we have some exciting news and information to share with our teams…

This year, we will be hosting 2 events for teams in advance of the Affiliate Tournament – a team training/skills day, and brand new this year, we will be hosting our first ever Team Showcase event! This will be an opportunity for teams to present their challenge solutions in a low-stress, non-appraised event while getting practice and experience presenting before a live audience! Look for more information on our Calendar page for times, locations, and registration information.

To help prepare teams for the Tournament and ensure a safe, secure, and fair tournament season, we have developed a Policies and Procedures page – we encourage ALL teams, team managers, parents, and appraisers to be familiar with the information on this page, especially our PACPS/PADI Youth Protection Policy.

To stay up to date on all of our PADI happenings, we encourage you to look to the following resources:

Finally, we are so thrilled to announce that the Pennsylvania Creative Problem Solvers (the Pennsylvania Affiliate organization of Destination Imagination, Inc.) has been recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please note that the appraiser training event on March 16 has been CANCELED. Appraisers will be contacted regarding training on the morning of the tournament. Please contact Andy Pickett with any questions.

Interested in learning more about DI? Considering starting a team? Come join us for an informational night for parents and students interested in Destination Imagination. There will be information for Elizabethtown students, and for those from other school districts. Come and learn about starting a team, selecting your challenge, and being part of this great program! Registration is now open for the 2018 Affiliate Tournament, to be held on April 7, 2018 in Elizabethtown. Information on the registration process can be found on the website here. As a reminder, all teams must complete their tournament registration by March 10, 2018. The $35 registration fee must be mailed by March 17th.
